I know we had “A Cemetery” on the list for Photo Hunt #1, but I felt that Halloween month and a new season warranted another chance to get some good cemetery shots, so it made its way back to PH#4.  I always thought cemeteries were creepy until I got into photography, now I think they can be beautiful! Get Ready to see My Favorite Photos from PH#4!!!

WOW!

If you spent time looking through every entry like I did, then there is no doubt you were as impressed as I was about all the amazing photos that the participants from Photo Hunt #4 put together.  Seriously!! I have enjoyed every  one of the challenges so far but I think this may have been the one that impressed me the most.  Everyone took such care to think about the list and it totally shows.  I have now looked at all of the galleries that were linked by Mr Linky except two: I am having a hard time accessing Nightfall’s photos and I cannot find Tara Dowd’s entry either.  Could you two please send me updated links to your entries by 8pm tonight 11/4/09? I would love for you both to have the opportunity to have your photos in my favorites but the show must go on…..

Now, about my favorites.  The process that I go through is this…..  I look through each person’s gallery one at a time and select all the photos that I really liked.  I put each of those photos into separate folders arranged by item# on list.  Once I go through all of the entries, I start posting all (or most) of the photos that are in the folder for each item.  It is going to be so hard to post my faves this month because I LOVED SO MANY!!! I think I chose at least 15 photos from nearly every single person, so each category has 20+ photos that I love.  I think I need to be a little more selective/discriminative or it is going to take me forever to post all the photos, link to the galleries and create the polls.  What to do, what to do!!  If I end up having to narrow it down some, I hope you all understand.

Photo Hunt #4 ~ Participant Entries

Time to start looking at the participant entries from Photo Hunt #4, which took place during the month of October  2009.   If you completed  Photo Hunt Challenge #4, please add your name/location and the permalink to your entry in Mr. Linky sometime by the end of the first week of Nov.  IT IS VERY IMPORTANT YOU INCLUDE YOUR POST PERMALINK NOT JUST YOUR BLOG URL.  ( Example, my blog is http://www.sweetsauer.com but my permalink for PH#3 is http://www.sweetsauer.com/kristis_bliggitty_blog/2009/09/photo-hunt-challenge-3-my-results.html ) If I have to go searching for your Photo Hunt entry every time I visit your blog it takes me so much longer to go through and post my favorites.  If you need help figuring out how to do this, please let me know ASAP.

It is preferred that you take your photos between today (October 1st) and October 31st.  If for some reason you are stuck on the 31st without a few of the items on your list, then you can use a maximum of two photos from your archives, as long as they were taken less than one year ago.  You ARE allowed to use Photoshop or other photo-editing software as you’d like (it often adds to the artistic quality of the photo).

It is up to you whether you post your photos on your blog as you go, or wait until  October 31st to unveil them and make it a surprise.  One thing I ask is that everyone who participates posts all 20 photos in one single post on their blogs or in a set in an online gallery on October 31st/November 1st.

A new post will go up here at photohuntchallenges.com on November 1st. I will be using the Mr. Linky auto-link widget.  Anyone who completes Photo Hunt #4 will need to add their name & the permalink of where their Photo Hunt photos are posted.  Everyone who adds their name to the auto-link will have their photos considered for my Favorites.   After I go through all of the participants’ entries, I will post my favorite photos for each of the 2o items on the list in a separate blog post with a poll for each.  Please note that I will not include archived photos in my favorites (it hardly seems fair!)  Anyone who votes is encouraged to vote based on their favorite photo, not just for a particular photographer. Voting is also open to anyone and everyone.
